Gabriela

Founder of Weetamix in 1993, one of the very first clubs dedicated only to electronic music in Switzerland, Gabriela is one of the pioneer female DJs of the Swiss scene. By being part of the movement during these early years and being in charge of this legendary club, she was giving to all techno lovers the opportunity to listen and dance to proper music. Gabriela brought to Switzerland some legends and shared the decks with them, artists such as : Derrick May, Dave Clarke, Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Dj Hell, Lil Louis, Green Velvet, to name a few.

During those golden years, she dedicated herself full time to promote electronic music and its culture, export international artists, US, UK, European pioneers, coaching and discovering new talents, she was working as artist agent in her own agency and meanwhile she was spinning her colorful sounds around the best Europeans clubs and Festivals, such as Paléo, Electron & Montreux Jazz.

In 2000, she embraced a new life becoming a mother. Three treasures kept her quite busy until 2015, when she decided to keep living her biggest passion. Vinyl lover, she is strongly motivated to retake her path into electronic music.

Early 2017, invited to take part of “Statement”, she became a member of a Swiss iconic female booking label.

At the end of 2017, she founded
« the W Spirit » events label in Geneva, following the Weetamix tradition. Precursor, with a strong identity, nothing can stop her. Since 2019, she focused on music production, while she plays from party to party, such as for the closing party of the Montreux Jazz Festival at the Liszto Club.

David

Coordination, webmaster and photographer
From his beginnings as a photographer, David Mayenfisch took part to musical projects. He enjoyed being there to witness them, to help out and to illustrate their promotional artworks, starting with rookies like him, and later on as assignment photographer for internationally recognized artists like Maria Mc Kee, Cassandra Wilson, Dianne Reeves, Regina Carter et Walter Dallas.

His work focused on magazine music features (festivals, hip hop Wu Tang Clan, DJ Whoo Kid (…) With advertising, institutional and fashion assignment and a 3 years tenure teaching professional photography practice at the écal university in Lausanne.

Electronic music was a discovery with a Moby open air live in ’92 and later on with Weetamix in ’96. He followed their activities for several years, being involved in the association back office, the venue operation, and the artist and public welcome.

A 9 year stint as technical co-director of the Animatou Festival and a guest performance at the Mapping Festival enabled him to acquire good live event video and multichannel audio skills.
